Habitat at Hills and Hollers is optimal for the growth of trophy whitetail bucks. Lush fertile ground between the Mississippi and Illinois rivers provide excellent farming conditions. Large corn and soybean fields provide high protein forage for deer, insuring a healthy herd. Fields of alfalfa and winter wheat are also a vital late season food source for the deer and focusing on these areas during these times have yielded remarkable success for late season hunters.
